FILTER BUBBLES

I didn't learn anything that I didn't already know. We scratched the surface of this last year so I already knew about filter bubbles. This makes me feel like I'm not getting the best possible information when I search the web. I know that Youtube has filter bubbles and after learning about what videos you like it lists videos similar to those. Knowing this makes me wonder what these "internet profiles" are being used for. There's really nothing I can do to improve my searching effectiveness, I just have to deal with it.
